Cherokee Quality and ConstructionBecause the methods and materials used during construction are covered over, consumers are at the mercy of a salesperson to provide the important details that help you determine if the unit is truly durable or just looks good because it is new. Floor ConstructionCherokee floors use "finger cut" 2" x 3" studs under 5 ply 5/8" tongue and groove plywood fully wrapped in with Darco underbelly to give full water protection to all sides of the floor. Sidewall ConstructionWood 2" x 2" Wall studs are spaced, on average, every 12". This is far better than the Industry Standard 16" walls made by other vendors. Metal High wind strapping is used to secure the floor to the sidewalls and from the sidewalls to the roof at every other stud as well as extra supports at all four corners, top and bottom. The sidewalls have R-7 rolled insulation glued between the studs to ensure it does not fall to the bottom of the wall. Every possible inch is insulated, even the space above the wheel wells! Roof ConstructionCherokee uses 12" on center Bow Truss Rafters, with a 3/8" walkable roof that is insulated with rolled R-7 fiberglass blanket. This is covered with a one piece rubber roof. Cherokee knows that a strong roof ensures longevity, so it is backed by a 12 year parts and components, 5 year labor warranty. Siding and ExteriorTo complete this solid, full wood cage Superstructure, you can choose from maintenance-free Aluminum siding or esthetically pleasing high gloss Gelcoat fiberglass siding. Aluminum sided units come with a diamond-plate rock guard and Gelcoat Caps are an option. Either way, your unit will have a contemporary set of attractive graphics you will enjoy seeing over and over again. Extended Features and InteriorInside these light weight Aerodynamically designed units, Cherokee adds a rich feature set included as Standard equipment that other vendors will either charge for, or not offer at all. A few of these extras include: a whole unit 10,000 gallon fresh water filtration system; CD player with remote; Fantastic Fan; 100 Watt 6+2 Surround Sound with ceiling mounted sub-woofer (in non-lite units); solid oak cabinet doors and drawer fronts; an Awning; wide dinette; fast recovery time Water Heater with by-pass kit; and a Heated Mattress to name a few. |
